Mapping your motivation

Location: Forum, 031+034 (the rooms behind the IT service point on the ground floor)

The Career compass is an evidence-based tool that is known for the five career competences it contains. These career competences are proven to be a solid fundament for career development (Kuipers et al, 2006, 2013). In order to get back in shape, this workshop focuses on one of the five career competences of the compass: reflection on motives.

The key questions that we address are:

  • What do you want?
  • What makes you happy?
  • What drives you? What motivates you?

During this workshop, you will:

  • Explore your past, and relive moments when you lost track of time and felt joyful, motivated
  • Create an overview of those moments in the form of images or text
  • Analyze this data to discover and learn more about your motivation and what drives you

At the end of the workshop:

  • You have created a ready-to-use overview of what motivates you in life, and more specific in your career. You can take that home with you, for use in future career endeavors.

By registering for or attending this event, you consent to being photographed and/or recorded by Wageningen University & Research for promotional purposes, such as use on our website, social media channels, or Jobteaser.
